Trimethoprim 200mg is a prescription-only antibiotic used for selected urinary tract infections (UTIs), including cystitis where clinically appropriate.

Formulation notes

This presentation contains 6 tablets. A common short-course regimen for eligible women with uncomplicated lower UTI is one 200mg tablet twice daily for 3 days. Suitability depends on clinical history, pregnancy status, kidney function, medicines and local/previous antibiotic sensitivity; always follow the prescription label.
