Qlaira is a multiphasic combined oral contraceptive containing estradiol valerate and dienogest.

Active ingredients

Each 28-tablet wallet contains: 2 dark-yellow tablets with estradiol valerate 3 mg; 5 medium-red tablets with estradiol valerate 2 mg + dienogest 2 mg; 17 light-yellow tablets with estradiol valerate 2 mg + dienogest 3 mg; 2 dark-red tablets with estradiol valerate 1 mg; and 2 white placebo tablets with no active hormone.

Formulation notes

Four-phase 28-day formulation with 26 active tablets followed by 2 placebo tablets. This 84-tablet presentation contains three complete 28-tablet wallets.
