Nitrofurantoin MR 100mg is a prescription-only antibiotic used for eligible women with uncomplicated lower urinary tract infection (cystitis).

Each modified-release capsule contains nitrofurantoin 100mg.

Formulation notes

This presentation contains 6 modified-release capsules. For an eligible non-pregnant woman with uncomplicated lower UTI, a common UK short-course regimen is one 100mg modified-release capsule twice daily for 3 days, but the exact directions must follow the prescription label and clinician's assessment. Brand and packaging may vary.
