Logynon ED is a triphasic combined oral contraceptive with placebo tablets.

Active ingredients

Each 28-tablet cycle contains 21 active tablets in three phases: 6 light-brown tablets each contain levonorgestrel 50 micrograms + ethinylestradiol 30 micrograms; 5 white active tablets each contain levonorgestrel 75 micrograms + ethinylestradiol 40 micrograms; and 10 ochre active tablets each contain levonorgestrel 125 micrograms + ethinylestradiol 30 micrograms. The 7 large white placebo tablets contain no active hormone.

Formulation notes

Every-day (ED) 28-day formulation: 21 triphasic active tablets followed by 7 placebo tablets. This 84-tablet presentation contains three complete 28-tablet cycles.
