Formulation and available strengths

6 mg/mL subcutaneous injection solution in a pre-filled 3 mL pen (18 mg per pen). Store variants: one pen or three pens; dosing is selected on the pen and depends on the prescribed stage.

Licensed dosage guidance

Licensed adult schedule: 0.6 mg once daily in week 1, 1.2 mg in week 2, 1.8 mg in week 3, 2.4 mg in week 4 and 3.0 mg daily from week 5, if tolerated. Escalation must be directed by the prescriber.

How it is taken

Inject under the skin of the abdomen, thigh or upper arm, around the same time each day. The SmPC states injection needles are not included with the pen; verify pharmacy fulfilment.
